Janeen Sarlin established Cooking with Class, a catering company and cooking school, in New York City in 1975. She is the author of a number of books, including ‘Food From An American Farm’, having grown up on a farm in Minnesota, where she learned the secrets of roasting from her grandmother and mother. Here she has chosen 10 recipes that show how this old technique ‘fits right into today’s style of cooking: the preparation time is relatively short, the flavours are intense and the final presentation is splendid’.
Simon Wheeler is a still life photographer working in London and New York. His photographs feature in many publications, including ‘Elle Decoration’ worldwide, ‘Vogue’ and ‘The Sunday Times Magazine’.
